Did you start 2018 with a “word”, intention or resolution? And if so, how is that going for you?
I couldn’t come up with a word right away. I did however have lots of intentions. Thoughts of clarity and healthy personal boundaries were forefront in my mind for myself and my business. I also had “intentional eating” on my radar. The good news is that those things are still being practiced and I’m making progress. And if there is one thing I’ve learned about resolutions in the past, it’s that as long as you don’t outright quit, they’re not over. You’re going to hit stumbling blocks, make mistakes and potentially come close to throwing in the towel. But as long as you get back in the game and keep playing, it’s not over.
I finally found my word of the year in a yoga class. FLUIDITY.
It’s my word this year because it reminds me of water–which I’m a huge fan of. I absolutely love being in and around the water and when you think about it, water can overcome just about any obstacle. A river can flow over, around, under or through anything if you give it enough time. It can rise and fall, evaporate and change shape. It can transform itself or other things. And the idea of fluidity to me is the art of adapting. Finding a space that needs attention and flowing there. Finding ease and grace and peace.
So…if you like my word, feel free to use it. And tell me how it applies to what you’re going through in 2018. Join my tribe. Find support here. There’s nothing like a group of women who “get you” and “have your back” to help you move forward in life. xoxo
